CEN Board Search
CEN Board Search has several key advantages including:
1) Board Candidate Quality - Our members have already been screened for significant accomplishments through the CEN & SEN Selection Committee process. They typically represent the "best of the best" in their respective industries are always working to take their business to the next level. Additionally, many of our members already serve on company boards and understand the time commitment and what is needed to make a meaningful contribution.
2) Time - Our search methodology takes advantage of our Network of over 550 already qualified CEOs and Senior Executives. This is important in that unlike a traditional search which starts from scratch and primarily uses networking to qualify an initial round of potential candidates, CEN Board Search can go directly to a qualified pool. This reduces the time to bring you final candidates from months to weeks.
3) Total Cost - Due to our methodology and already qualified Network, your total costs are less than 1/3 to 1/4 of a traditional search. Additionally, unlike a traditional search where you are charged the entire fee whether you hire someone or not, with CEN Board Search you are only charged the second half of the fee when you finalize your board decision.
Process and Fee Structure:
We know that you have a business to run and time is precious so we have designed our process accordingly. All we need to start is a one paragraph description on what the board position calls for. We will work this description up for your final approval. After this approval, we will invoice you a 50% retainer fee and begin sourcing the position immediately thereafter.
Because of the methodology outlined above, you will generally receive a preliminary candidate list within 2 weeks. We of course work with you in board candidate contact, evaluation, etc. The key is identification of the very best candidates in a manner that minimizes your overall time commitment.
Our fee structure for our member firms is only $8,500 for your first search. One half of this amount is due after the search begins and the second half amount is only due once you have selected the qualified board candidate. Subsequent board searches for your company are $7,500 and the same billing methodology applies.
